Welcome to Ribblesdale Wanderers



Ribblesdale Wanderers is an England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) Club Mark accredited cricket club based in Clitheroe, Lancashire.


We boast 3 senior cricket teams with the First XI having competed in the Ribblesdale Cricket League since 1907.


In 2022 the Ribblesdale League merged with the Bolton League to form the North West Cricket League.


Our Ladies play in the North West Winter league and Lancashire East Women’s Soft Ball 8 League. They also compete in many Prosecco tournaments!


The Junior section at the club is thriving with ECB qualified Level coaches managing teams from Under 9s all the way up to Under 13 level.Our junior teams compete in the Lancashire League in their respective age groups and the future is bright with some very promising cricket players being developed.


We also have a very established and thriving Crown Green Bowling Section that has 5 teams competing in 3 different local leagues. In addition we are renowned for our floodlit Bowling competitions that attract the best talent from across the country.


We have a very active social scene with our premises in use all year round and available for hire, We host several club based social events throughout the year.

Ladies’ Day: Paint & Sip, a Celebration of Women!



Calling all fabulous women! Join us for a delightful afternoon of creativity, connection, and celebration at our Ladies’ Day Paint & Sip event.

Ribblesdale Classic Finals Day
Sunday 25th May 2025



Congratulations to Callum WRAIGHT (Shrewsbury) who was crowned The Ribblesdale Classic Champion 2025 and took home the magnificent trophy and £1600! Callum defeated Ryan CLARK (Sheffield) 21/18 in a thrilling final that kept everyone entertained and engaged.


The hundreds in attendance and thousands online enjoyed a high quality match fitting for the final! Callum also qualifies for the BCGBA Champion of Champions in September.


Congratulations also to Harley TATTERSLEY (Dewsbury) who defeated Ryan HOCKNULL (West Bromwich) 21-16 in a great junior final. Harley won the trophy and £400 as The Junior Ribblesdale Classic champion.


What a day we had yesterday, the weather held up pretty well despite a poor forecast and hundreds of people arrived from around the country to watch the Grand Final! The buzz around the place made everyone enjoy it and to see peoples reactions when they walked around to see a green surrounded fully by people makes it worthwhile.


The atmosphere built throughout the day and I am sure people were enjoying the top quality matches. It makes this event worthwhile when you see the support we got yesterday and we’d like to thank each and every one of you that came to watch! Over the last month and a half we’ve had players and spectators from all over visit our event and it is hugely appreciated.......................

Friday evenings - Junior Training



6:15 PM – Training begins, weather dependant and the bar is fully stocked—ready to serve you a refreshing drink while the kids train.


But that’s not all! 🍦 Post-training treats from Abbey Ice Cream (serving up delicious ice cream on Church Meadow!) 🍦


Ages 5–16 welcome for training, with team opportunities for:

All abilities welcome! Whether your child is new to cricket or already loves the game, we’d love to see them there. Boys and girls are encouraged to join the fun!


Membership Fees for the Season:


➡️ Under 9: £15 (one-time fee, no weekly charges)

➡️ Over 9: £25 (one-time fee, no weekly charges)


✳️ Important: At least one accompanying adult must also purchase a social membership for £20. This ensures that every child has a responsible adult present.
